Godfrey Cove Road - Donna-Asquith
Donna Asquith, "Godfrey Cove Road," Watercolor on Arches Paper, 9 x 12"

Drawing and other forms of artistic expression have always been a part of Donna Asquith’s life.  Before turning her attentions to art full-time, she taught high school English in Massachusetts for thirty-one years while she and her husband raised their two sons.  Finally in 2006 Donna concentrated her attentions on art, a loved occupation. Creativity flourished.

Donna’s paintings have been in numerous international, national, and regional juried shows around the country.  Donna’s other media include gouache and pastels, and in 2014 Donna began painting in acrylics; her watercolor experience is evident in her acrylic works.  She enjoyed and benefited from her participation in a figure-drawing group of local artists.  Portraiture is a specialty.  Donna’s landscapes arouse our wonder of nature, her figures evoke our pondering of humanity, and her abstracts activate our minds through their dynamism. Galleries where her works have sold include Art on Centre, Fernandina, Florida; Barn Gallery, Ogunquit, Maine; 100 Market St. Gallery, Portsmouth, NH; Green Heron Gallery, Ogunquit, Maine; A Pleasant Shoppe, Portsmouth, NH; York Village Gallery in York, Maine; York Art Association, York, Maine, The Atlantic Contemporary in Feranandina, FL. Donna paints every day and is thrilled by creative expression.
