Maggie has had a lifelong passion for creativity. For 25 years, she worked as a graphic designer and art director in Boston, collaborating with diverse clients across print, video, and digital media. Five years ago, she relocated to coastal Maine, where the landscape and distinctive light inspired her to begin painting.
Her background in design informs her artistic approach, allowing her to deconstruct form and perspective. Rather than creating precise representations, her work captures the shifting rhythm, light, and color of the landscape.

Maggie developed a deep interest in encaustic painting, working with molten wax and a propane torch to build richly textured surfaces. She incorporates pastels, charcoal, graphite, fused photography, and wax pencils to create layered, tactile compositions. The transition from traditional brushes to working with heat and fire has been both challenging and exhilarating.

Her work has been featured in solo, invitational, and juried exhibitions and is held in private collections throughout the United States.
