Todd Bezold

Todd Bezold graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts from University of Kentucky and later obtained a Masters in Science from University of New Hampshire. He is captivated by the coastal environments and deep woodlands of New England, rich with refracted light and intimate enclosed spaces surrounding pools and streams. He depicts these subjects with a mix of gestural brushstrokes and simplified application of color forms, adjusting tonality to imply space. Often these subjects are fractured and abstracted using layers of paint and cutting back into the lower layers to create depth and atmosphere.
